Hi, I'm Jessie, and though I'm not an illustration, I'm great at creating them. I've been drawing since I was five-years-old. I've created comics as a child and teenager, even making up alternate stories for existing cartoons.
I'm a graphic designer with experience in branding, web design, motion graphics, and UI design: I love art and the concept of creating something from nothing. I studied Media Arts and Animation for a year at The Art Institute of Washington before changing my major to Graphic Design. During my time there, I was a student worker creating flyers and other collateral design. I interned at Sister 2 Sister magazine in 2008. I had the honor of working on the presidential issues dedicated to then elected Barak Obama.
A few years later, I started experimenting with motion graphic design and film editing and fell in love with it, incorporating animation into my designs. Wanting to continue expanding my design knowledge digitally, I began to study web development, the coding side of web design, and user interface design. Currently, I'm working with MPACT Entertainment and Events, Richard Lawson Studios, and Waco theater. I am a member of the AIGA DC chapter.
